Tonto Dikeh’s ex-boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogri has opened up about her alleged involvement in the destruction of his Abuja property.

Prince Kpokpogri made this known via his Instagram Live on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, during a chat with journalist, Kemi Olunloyo.

“Well, actually I don’t even want to say anything about that girl at all. I don’t want to say anything. But the truth is that she had nothing with the issue,” he said.

It would be recalled that Kpokpogri released an Instagram Live video where his palatial home was destroyed by the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA).

Kpokpogri alleged in the video that someone was behind his ordeal, citing that he wasn’t given any notice before the demolition.

Hours after he released the video, Dikeh took to her Instagram page where she trolled him.

“Anyone waiting for me to stop laughing is a complete joker. I can’t and will never sympathise with this man. It’s his cross, he should carry it. This man almost killed me financially, emotionally and otherwise,” she wrote.

“If I had committed suicide after he threatened to expose our explicit tape or even when he released the crying audio, it would have been two weeks of goodbyes and the world would move on. People need to understand that karma exists and I hope it’s not the last until he does the right thing.”

Kpokpogri and Dikeh have been at loggerheads since they split in 2021.

At the early stage of the relationship, it was filled with loved-up photos on social media and exchange of expensive gifts.

It didn’t take long before cracks in the relationship began to rare their ugly head.

It was followed by counter-accusations, arrests, sex tapes, third parties ‘stray bullets’ and even lawsuits.

Andy Warhol's 'Shot Sage Blue Marilyn', pictured on display at Christie's Auction House in New York. It is the most expensive piece of 20th Century art ever sold

Pop artist Andy Warhol’s famed 1964 silk-screen portrait of Marilyn Monroe sold for $195 million at auction on Monday, a record for a work by an American artist sold at auction.

“Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” is one in a series of portraits Warhol made of the actress following her death in 1962 and has since become one of pop art’s best-known pieces.

Held in the collection of Swiss art dealers Thomas and Doris Ammann, it was sold by Christie’s at an auction in New York. Pre-sale estimates had reached as high as $200 million.

The painting sold for a hammer price of $170 million Added fees gave it a final price of $195 million.

The sale broke the previous record for an American artwork at auction of $110.5 million set in 2017 for a 1982 painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat.

“‘Shot Sage Blue Marilyn’ is the absolute pinnacle of American Pop,” Alex Rotter, chairman of 20th and 21st Century art at Christie’s, said in a statement announcing the auction. “The painting transcends the genre of portraiture, superseding 20th century art and culture.”

The painting is built on a promotional photo of Monroe from the 1953 film “Niagara,” screened with bright colors over her eyes, hair and lips.

Its title refers to an incident in which a woman shot at a stack of four Marilyn portraits in Warhol’s studio with a pistol, although “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” was not struck by a bullet.

Monroe was one of Hollywood’s best-known stars before her death of an overdose at her home in Los Angeles on Aug. 4, 1962.

Warhol died in 1987.

Chiwetalu Agu

Veteran Nollywood actor, Chinmwetalu Agu has stated he was attacked spiritually with arrows of pins, bullets and sea stones.

He said he had to see a prophet, who through prayers, removed the items from his chest, shoulder and neck regions.

He claimed the attack was an attempt to cripple his health and make him non-functional.

He also said he kept seeing himself dead and buried in dreams. “In fact I was asleep, I was even seeing myself five feet under the ground,” he stressed.

The 66-year-old, in a video on Instagram, said: “Why I am drawing your attention this very moment is to show you what is on this table. Arrows of different types. We have an arrow of cowry, sea stones and pins. They are uncountable now. This is a key, the prophet who brought this out of my body was discussing this key. And I asked since they removed this key out of my chest, my heart region, did they mean to block my heart? Because anybody whose heart is not functioning is no longer alive.

“Look at bullets too. All these came out from my chest, shoulder, and neck region. Some are purely sea stones brought for the purpose of killing this child of God.

“When we saw this mirror, we were calculating that the enemy had sent all these, to kill me. Then they brought a mirror to show them what was still holding Chinwetala alive. That’s the mirror here. All these are hand works of the enemy.

“But the truth is that, once you are with God, nobody can harm you, however powerful his weapons are. I see myself as an agent of the Lord to help humanity to save those I can save from being killed by the enemy just as God has saved me from being killed by these people. In fact I was asleep, I was even seeing myself five feet under the ground.

“Glory be to the Father and to the son and to the Holy Spirit for this wondrous act. For this miracle.”

Ludacris - Photo by Meg Buscema

Three-time Grammy award winner, the platinum rapper and actor Ludacris received a Bachelor of Science in Music Management from Georgia State University.

Ludacris attended undergrad at GSU in 1996 before leaving after signing a record deal with Def Jam.

The rapper said that his time on campus sharpened his skills and gave him the confidence to believe that his path was “preordained”.

"Yes. You know, I had somebody tell somebody from the faculty, not President Blake, they had to tell us like five times. We don't want him to curse. I'm like, I'm not going to curse up here, man. It's not what I Come on now. I'm better than that. But what I will say is, welcome to Atlanta, where the play is play, and we ride on them things like every day, big beads, hit streets, you see gangsters roaming. And tonight, parties won't stop till six in the morning. See, there was no curse word in that whatsoever", Ludacris said.

A statement from Georgia State University said Ludacris had become a heavily involved member of the Georgia State community in recent years.

That I couldn't make it as a rapper. That I need to get a day job. Ignore the Dream Killers. They come to tell us what we can't do", the 44-year-old rapper born Christopher Bridges said.

Ludacris, whose kid's animated program "Karmas World" is currently on Netflix, is set to reprise his role as Tej in "Fast X" of the "Fast & Furious" franchise slated for 2023.

Amber Heard took the witness stand for the first time in a US defamation case brought by Johnny Depp, saying the actors had a "magical" relationship until it turned violent

Actress Amber Heard choked back tears on Wednesday as she told a Virginia jury that her ex-husband Johnny Depp slapped her when she laughed at the writing on one of his tattoos.

Heard took the witness stand for the first time in a U.S. defamation case brought by Depp, saying the actors had a “magical” relationship until it turned violent.

Depp’s first physical outburst, Heard said, came after she asked what was written on one of his faded tattoos. She said he replied “wino,” and she laughed, thinking it was a joke.

“He slapped me across the face,” Heard said. “I didn’t know what was going on. I just stared at him.”

Heard said he slapped her twice more and said “you think it’s funny, bitch?”

Depp, 58, testified earlier in the trial that he never hit Heard and that she was the one who was the abuser in their relationship.

The star of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films and others is suing Heard, 36, for $50 million, saying she defamed him when she claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse. Heard has counter-sued for $100 million, saying Depp smeared her by calling her a liar.

The case hinges on a December 2018 opinion piece she authored in the Washington Post. The article never mentioned Depp by name, but his lawyer told jurors it was clear Heard was referencing him. The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2017 after less than two years of marriage. Read full story

Depp, once among the biggest stars in Hollywood, said he never struck Heard or any woman and that Heard’s allegations cost him “everything.” A new “Pirates” movie was put on hold, and Depp was replaced in the “Fantastic Beasts” film franchise, a “Harry Potter” spinoff.

Heard’s attorneys have argued that she told the truth and that her opinion was protected free speech under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.

A state court judge in Virginia’s Fairfax County, outside the nation’s capital, is overseeing the trial, which is expected to last until late May.

Less than two years ago, Depp lost a libel case against The Sun, a British tabloid that labeled him a “wife beater.” A London High Court judge ruled he had repeatedly assaulted Heard.

Depp’s lawyers have said they filed the U.S. case in Fairfax County because the Washington Post is printed there. The newspaper is not a defendant.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 02: (Exclusive Coverage) Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner arrive at The 2022 Met Gala Celebrating “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 02, 2022 in New York City. A-listers dressed to the theme of “gilded glamour” sparkled on the red carpet as the annual Met Gala extravaganza known as “the party of the year” returned to its pre-pandemic schedule in New York Monday.

Co-host Blake Lively wowed in a beaded Versace gown with an oversized satin bow that unfurled to reveal a light-blue train while singer Billie Eilish wore an ornate Gucci bodice with green lace sleeves.

Actress Lively, whose husband actor Ryan Reynolds wore a brown velvet tuxedo, described her dress as an “homage” to New York City architecture, including the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Grand Central station.

Singer Alicia Keys also paid tribute to Big Apple buildings, with a black Ralph Lauren cape that portrayed the city’s skyline in silver beading.

Some 400 famous names from the worlds of music, film, fashion and sports strutted their stuff at the over-the-top costume parade on the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s carpeted steps.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who oversees the philanthropic party that raises millions of dollars for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, was one of the first attendees to arrive.

The high priestess of fashion matched a Chanel dress with a tiara as the fundraiser returned to its usual early-May slot after the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancelation of the 2020 event and delayed last year’s edition to the autumn.

Grammy-winning singer Lizzo made a dramatic entrance in an intricate hand-embroidered gold-and-black coat over a black Thom Browne gown, stopping to play her flute on the steps.

Rapper Cardi B shone in a glittering gold chain gown by Versace with matching gloves while singer Olivia Rodrigo also opted for Versace, sparkling in a lavender mesh dress.

Actress and model Cara Delevingne took the Met’s “gilded” theme literally, shedding the jacket of her red Dior suit on the steps to reveal she was wearing just gold body paint underneath.

Olympic gold medalist and snowboarder Chloe Kim made her Met Gala debut in a feathered tulle ballgown, while actress Michelle Yeoh sported a flowing green Prabal Gurung gown.

And actor Riz Ahmed took a different approach to the theme, wearing a black open shirt with a white undershirt, and leather boots.

“This is an homage to the immigrant workers who kept the Gilded Age golden,” he said.

The invite-only guest list is a closely guarded secret. Those in attendance included singers Jon Batiste, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae and Gwen Stefani, tennis star Venus Williams and “The Crown” actress Emma Corrin.

Hillary Clinton wore a red Joseph Altuzarra gown. Embroidered along the neckline were the names name of 60 women who had inspired her, including Rosa Parks.

Actress Julianne Moore and reality TV star Kris Jenner honored Jackie Kennedy while Glenn Close shone in Valentino Pink.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore a Christopher John Rogers design that honored Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley, who as Mary Todd Lincoln’s dressmaker was the first Black female fashion designer in the White House.

“The idea was to highlight the dichotomy between the extravagant, over-the-top proportions of the time period, and the disparity that was happening in America at the time,” she said.

Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain wore a glittering red sequinned Gucci gown with trailing sleeves and matching turban.

A platinum blonde Kim Kardashian shone in the stunning skintight gown Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr President” to John F. Kennedy.

– ‘End gun violence’ –

At last year’s event, held in September, left-wing politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez caused a stir by wearing a dress emblazoned with the slogan “Tax the Rich.”

This time, New York City Mayor Eric Adams struck a political chord with a jacket on the back of which were the words “End gun violence.”

On the red carpet, billionaire Elon Musk was asked about his $44 billion takeover offer for Twitter.

“My goal, assuming everything gets done, would be to make Twitter as inclusive as possible and have as broad a swath of the country and the rest of the world on Twitter,” said Musk, accompanied by his supermodel mother Maye Musk wearing a red velvet Dior gown.

Last year, the gala brought home more than $16.4 million for the Met’s Costume Institute.

The dress code comes from the annual exhibit that the party coincides with. This year’s is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” a retrospective from the late 19th century to the present.

Monday’s Met Gala was also co-hosted by Oscar-winning actress Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of Broadway hit “Hamilton.”

The gala was first held in 1948 and was for a long time reserved for New York high society. Wintour took over the running in 1995, transforming the party into a catwalk for the rich and famous.

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim

Popular Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim has recounted her ordeals with an abusive partner who never saw his act as wrong.

The bi-racial media personality famous for her roles in Nollywood movies revealed in an interview with Chude Jideonwo how she was locked up for days by her ex-boyfriend and raped daily.

Even though there was never a mutual consent, Ibrahim stated her ex-lover would still have s3xual relations with her.

Afterwards, he would tell her it wasn’t rape because they were in a relationship.

The movie star said: “I told him what he did was rape and he said but we were in a relationship.

“But was I ready, that was the question, did I say I was in the mood? I kept saying no, stop it, stop it, you pin me down and you’re doing whatever you wanted to do and you’re smiling saying don’t worry.

“And you’re kissing whilst I’m crying, that means you’re a rapist and I had to leave that relationship.

“I fought my way out of that relationship because he even locked me up in his house for days until my sister Sonia came to find me.

“I was scared, uncertain of what to do because this guy was huge and taller than me. He can raise you above the wall. And just imagine that it was every day. Every day, he wanted to do something. That is rape.”

The 36-year-old curvy actress further advised women in any form of abusive relationship especially that which involves rape to draw courage and report their partners to appropriate authorities.

“You’re naive. Who do you go and tell? Who would come and fight for you?

“But ladies you can report it now, go and report. If your husband is forcing you to do when you’re not in the mood it is rape and I tell these men that you cannot force a woman.”

Yul and Uche Edochie (R)

Uche Edochie, artist and brother to Nollywood star, Yul Edochie has shared his thoughts on the recent controversy surrounding Yul, following his marriage to his second wife, Judy Moghalu.

“We told Yul not to do it. He did it anyway,” Uche said in a statement in the early hours of Friday.

According to him, the union happened out of the blue and he described the situation as unfair, stating that his first wife, Mary never signed up for polygamy.

While acknowledging that the family does not approve of the situation, he also cautioned Nigerians not to be quick to judge anyone.

“If the average person walks in Yul’s shoes for one year, they will get five or more women pregnant. So don’t be quick to judge if you have not lived that life. Most people will do worse,” Uche said.

Read the full statement below.

“Hello guys. So my younger brother Yul Edochie just married a second wife out of the blue and Nigerians are freaking out. I get it. We are all shocked. I am a low-key type of guy and I have tried to mind my own business but this circus is chasing me around too. So here is my take.

“I see two main problems here. His first wife Mary, a wonderful woman and my sister-in-law did not go into a relationship with my brother agreeing to be part of a polygamous marriage. That’s the first problem. So I feel for Mary. It is not fair on her. My family is not in support. This is not what we do and we are trying our best to console Mary. What else can we do?

“The second issue is that Yul is not a Muslim. If he was a Muslim, no one will be talking about this. Muslims marry as many wives as they want and nobody says shit. Traditional rulers and traditionalists of sorts do the same thing too and the Nigerian constitution recognizes polygamy as a legal marital union. Maybe we should burn that bloody constitution.

“We told Yul not to do it. He did it anyway. Have you ever tried controlling an adult when it comes to relationships? Good luck with that. Yul is an adult who feels marrying a second woman is the best way to own up to his mistakes and make things right. It took a lot of courage for him to do this too.

“A Muslim marries two or more wives and his people throw a party. Totally normal. A Christian does the same thing and he is the worst human being alive. It is tough. Women throw themselves at famous people so bad that it is suffocating. If the average person walks in Yul’s shoes for one year, they will get five or more women pregnant. So don’t be quick to judge if you have not lived that life. Most people will do worse.

“So this is Yul’s new baby with his new wife. Beautiful boy. Children are a gift from God. It is the circumstances of their birth that gets us all riled up about what’s right and wrong. I wish them all luck. Maybe Yul should become a Muslim and shut this circus down. It is said that life is what happens when we are making other plans. I was minding my own business. And now this. Fantastic.”

This reaction comes days after the famed Nollywood actor and son of veteran Pete Edochie, announced that he had taken a second wife.

He made the announcement in a post celebrating his newborn son, saying he loves him just like his other four children from his marriage of 17 years.

Many Nigerian, however, were shocked by the news sparking conversations about polygamy and adultery.

Nigerians were not the only ones displeased by the development. His first wife Mary took to his comments section and wrote “May God judge you both”.

Judy who is a long-time friend and colleague to Yul, has also come under fire for getting involved with a married man.

Ugezu J. Ugezu

Veteran actor and movie producer, Ugezu J. Ugezu has posed a question to ladies on polygamy.

The news of his younger colleague, Yul Edochie’s second wife and son has continued to lead discourse topic on the internet.

Many insisted the actor was wrong to have taken a second wife considering he’s from a Christian home and has a father who’s always spoken against the practice of polygamy.

Although others have commended the movie actor for taking the bold step of marrying the mother of his other child as they noted it his decision to practice polygamy was way better than constantly committing adultery.

As social media users continue the debate on polygamy and Yul’s decision to take a second wife, Ugezu known for his controversial stance on issues has weighed in on the matter.

The film maker, in an Instagram post, wondered if all the ladies are against polygamy online, who then are those dating married men offline.

He argued the married men may just be dating spirits considering the ladies reactions online.

“All the ladies in our society condemn polygamy online. Who then are the ladies dating married men offline? SPIRITS, I guess?” the actor asked.

Continuing, Ugezu insisted the rate of pretenders and liars in today’s society were alarming.

“The Nigerian Pharisees and Sadducees are deadlier than the ones in the scriptures. Pretenders and liars everywhere!”

The mother-of- four took to her Instagram page, where she shared a post that had the photos of Barack and Michelle Obama in their early years and then when they became the U.S. First family.

“Never forget a woman who helped you build yourself and stand by you when you had nothing… if she was with you in hell, be with her in paradise,” the post read.

She captioned the post with the quote ”Not for this generation.”

The news of a second wife shocked fans who had no idea of the development.

Yul’s new wife, Judy Moghalu, is a Nollywood actress and producer.

Moghalu is no new face in Nollywood as she has featured in several movies and even starred alongside Yul.

Until recently, Maghalu had maintained a hush profile, not until Yul revealed her as his second wife and the mother of his newborn son.

This, however, shocked many as the movie star has always been married to one wife.

Many Nigerians have taken to Judy’s Instagram page, calling her out for ‘ruining’ May’s marriage.
